Job Description:
Position Summary / Responsibilities
Determines types of technical literature searches and
sources of information to satisfy the scientific information needs of
researchers and staff within the company. Conducts searches of technical
literature, analyzes and evaluates data, extracts pertinent information,
prepares information abstracts and bibliographies of material searched.
Maintains extensive knowledge of literature resources and continuous contacts
with local, national, and international information centers and agencies.
Maintains and improves information retrieval capabilities. Assists in the
selection of literature for inclusion in the library's collection and may
translate foreign technical literature. Keeps abreast of developments in areas
of interest to the company and periodically consults with researchers and other
information users to ensure maximum usefulness and service.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate of Science Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline plus 6 years of experience.
- 6,000+ hours in the use of PTC Creo version 2 (or higher) and Intralink version 10 (or higher).
- Experience in change control procedures and processes.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software 2010.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good organizational and problem solving skills with an ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements.
- Knowledge and some design experience of electronic parts and assemblies.
- Knowledge of government project and business rhythms.
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso version 5.1 (or higher).
